We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic teacher, with a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs, to work in our Diverse Learning Small Class. This position is a team-based role, working alongside our highly experienced Diverse Learning Leader and Education Support Officers, in our new purpose-built Learning Support Centre. Tyndale Murray Bridge has a tight-knit and highly supportive staff team and we pride ourselves on having excellent employment conditions, including competitive salaries and leave entitlements. Hills Youth Theatre Inc. is on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Drama Tutor to join our nurturing and vibrant team. With a focus on shaping the minds and talents of children aged 11 to 15, we provide an environment where young performers can thrive, develop, and explore their creativity through drama.

Position Overview:

  • Role: Drama Tutor for Children
  • Age Groups: 11 to 15 Years
  • Start Date: Semester 2
  • Schedule: Monday and Friday, 4pm-7pm (additional hours during production periods)

What We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate is someone who possesses not only a background in voice and drama but also the enthusiasm and ability to foster a positive learning atmosphere. Your role will be pivotal in helping students master stage-craft and theatre conventions, making each learning experience rewarding and constructive.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Tertiary voice/drama training or equivalent professional experience (e.g., performance experience)
  • Skills: Outstanding verbal communication and the ability to maintain a positive environment
  • Experience: A proven track record of engaging with children and young people effectively
  • Certifications: Current First Aid Certificate, Current Police check  & WWCC
