The opportunity 

As a member of the Maintenance team your role will work very closely with the production departments on the facility.  Our business aims to reliably and efficiently process pigs and pork products to the highest levels of welfare, quality and customer satisfaction, with a strong focus on Safety, Quality and People. 

Main duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to act with urgency when machinery fault or breakdown occurs
  • Work in a methodical manner to ensure production runs smoothly using good observation and problem-solving methodologies
  • Ability to identify and solve root causes to prevent further re-occurrences
  • Complete any preventative maintenance tasks given in a timely manner and to a high standard.
  • Ensure clear handover of work performed between the maintenance team and production teams so that all safety and food quality standards are well managed.

BUMA Australia provides a total mine service to Stanwell Corporation's Meandu Mine to deliver coal to the adjacent Tarong power station. We are responsible for both managing and operating the mine.

Services provided include planning, drilling, overburden removal, coal mining, coal processing, rehabilitation, and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant. The project uses a combination of dragline and truck-and shovel operations. Meandu Mine currently has five working pits, with sufficient coal to fuel the stations until at least 2037.



Job description:

As BUMA Australia grows, we are seeking an experienced Serviceperson to join our Maintenance Team at Meandu on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Serviceperson you will carry out integral maintenance duties such as (but not limited to):

  • Daily pre-starts, minor servicing and maintenance works to heavy machinery.
  • Operate service truck - utilise hose reels for fuel, water & oils.
  • Climb over the machinery to access and check all critical points, fluid levels and refilling points.
  • Inspect equipment when servicing and refuelling for defects.
  • Record daily fuel, grease and oil intakes.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts.
  • Identify possible opportunities that will improve the maintenance function and report to supervisor.



Profile description:

About You

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the mining / civil industry.

We are currently seeking a Sexual Assault Practitioner to join our team based in Kingaroy on a permanent fulltime basis. Please note that some flexibility is needed in order to meet operational requirements. In this role, you will provide counselling to individuals comprising of males, females and children.  You will also provide Sexual Violence counselling to adults and children aged 12 and over, who are impacted by sexual assault violence/abuse and promote awareness in the community around the impact of sexual assault. You will also facilitate group education sessions to a diverse range of clients.   
 
Key Duties:
  • Completing client intake, including initial and ongoing risk assessment/s, safety planning and crisis counselling when required.
  • Providing brief solution focussed counselling sessions for children, couples, adults and families.
  • Facilitating psycho-educational or therapeutic group sessions.
  • Managing client referrals and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive client outcomes.
  • Facilitate events to promote awareness of sexual assault impact in the community.
 
Skills and Experience:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social or Behavioural Science from a recognised institution (including eligibility for membership of APS, AASW, PACFA or ACA).
  • Well-developed understanding of the Domestic and Family Violence Act, Child Protection Act and Family Law Act, as well as the issues and the impacts on families engaged in these systems.
  • Demonstrated articulation of a well-developed practice framework for domestic and family violence and its nexus with child safety, family law, mental health.
  • Experience in intake, risk assessment, case management and referral pathways crisis intervention, DVO assistance and safety planning.
  • Well-developed written work including report writing, case notes, data collection, data entry and computer literacy skills.
  • Highly effective communication with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to advocate for our clients’ needs with other statutory organisations/ departments.
  • Have a high degree of professionalism and integrity in working with clients, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
  • Ability to support and work with diverse families with complex needs.
  • Availability for some after-hours work.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Administration Officer to join our team at our Kingaroy branch. We are seeking an individual who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment. The role is crucial in supporting various administrative functions, ranging from financial duties and customer communication to production support and office maintenance. Your contribution will be essential in maintaining high standards of quality and compliance, ensuring smooth branch operations, and enhancing overall branch effectiveness.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Engage in a rotational schedule, providing support across different administrative areas, including financial duties, customer communication, production support, invoicing, weighbridge operations, and office maintenance.
  • Conduct stocktakes, and financial reporting, and manage accounts receivable.
  • Act as the primary contact for customer inquiries and coordinate with transport companies and drivers.
  • Assist in production-related tasks and manage documentation for goods handling.
  • Update and monitor key reports such as grain sheets, raw material deliveries, and DIFOTs.
  • Ensure adherence to Feedsafe Quality Assurance, Workplace Health and Safety, and Good Management Practice standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in an administration officer role or similar, preferably within the feed, agriculture or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Adaptability to diverse tasks and rotational schedules.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all responsibilities.
