The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to fill a vital part in a refreshed and renewed management team, which will support our TCP facility. Working in partnership with the Operations Manager & Clinical Nurse Manager, you will lead and support a team of health care professionals, ensuring your site is fully maintained and operating within key performance indicators and budgets, whist taking a proactive approach to building relationships with staff, internal stakeholder, clients, and their families.

About You:

Brightwater is looking for a motivated and experienced Facility Manager / Service Manager, with a passion for people management, and person centred, goal directed support for clients.  You should enjoy a fast-paced environment and be able to demonstrate operational management experience of physical, human, and financial resources, including budgeting, recruitment, performance management, training, and development.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Qualified and suitably registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Geriatric Rehabilitation/Health/Community Service-related discipline (desirable).
  • Strong leadership experience in managing a team, including the ability to implement and drive change.
  • Experience managing a transition care or residential aged care facility, operationally or clinically (desirable).

  • Sound understanding of accreditation in aged care, TCP or health and the federal and state aged care reforms, and a proactive approach to quality improvement.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to organise and prioritise, manage delegated tasks, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and use resources effectively, safely and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated experience in the operational management of physical, human and financial resources, including budgeting, recruitment, performance management, training and development, with knowledge of safety and health legislation and employment legislation.
  • Demonstrated computer skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams) and the ability to interpret data and write reports.
  • Working knowledge of the aged care accreditation standards and accreditation cycle/process (desirable).
  • Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
  • Satisfactory National Police Certificate and Bankruptcy clearance obtained within the last 12 months
